GA²LEN Atopic Dermatitis Centres of Reference and Excellence – ADCARE

GA²LEN, the Global Allergy and Asthma European Network, has recently launched a programme for the development, interaction and accreditation of centers of reference and excellence in special areas of allergy embedded in its overall quality management of allergy centres of excellence.

Atopic Dermatitis is a common and debilitating condition and can be a challenge for both patients and treating physicians Centers of reference and excellence in atopic dermatitis (ADCAREs) can help to improve the management of hard to treat conditions. Here, we describe the aims, the requirements and deliverables, the application process, and the audit and accreditation protocol for GA²LEN ADCAREs. The main aims of GA²LEN ADCAREs are to provide excellence in atopic dermatitis management, education and to increase the knowledge of atopic dermatitis by research and to promote the awareness of atopic dermatitis by advocacy activities.

ADCARE is a proud member of the European Innovative Partnership on Active Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA).

Become a certified GA²LEN ADCARE

To become a certified GA²LEN ADCARE, atopic dermatitis centres have to apply and fulfill 32 requirements, defined by specific deliverables that are assessed during an audit visit. The GA²LEN ADCARE programme will result in a strong network of atopic dermatitis specialists, promoting atopic dermatitis research, and harmonizing and improving atopic dermatitis management and education globally.

THIS IS ADCARE

The ADCARE programme is an initiative by GA²LEN for increasing the knowledge of atopic dermatitis by research, advocating for awareness, and accrediting an interactive network of centers of reference and excellence worldwide.
